Event Preview
There are few more prestigious events on the DP World Tour than the Soudal Open. This event was first staged in 1910, but has been absent from the schedule on a number of occasions. However, it finally made its full-time return to the European Tour in 2022.
Rinkven International has played host to all editions of the event since 2018, and there are a number of interesting contenders in the betting based on their previous performances at the course.
Among those are previous winner, Guido Migliozzi. The Italian has enjoyed a consistent start to the 2025 season, and was last in action finishing in a tie for 17th at the Turkish Airlines Open.
Laurie Canter will be a popular selection this weekend, despite finishing eighth over and failing to make the cut at last weekend’s PGA Championship. However, he could be a weak favorite after failing to make the cut on his last three appearances.
Thomas Pieters was second in the Soudal Open last year, as he finished just a shot off the lead. In his home event this weekend, he could be set to produce a memorable round, which could give him an excellent chance of taking home prize money.
Soudal Open Picks
Jordan Smith is an eye-catching selection this weekend. The Englishman finished eleven-under at the Turkish Airlines Open at the start of the month, and has now made the cut in his last five events. At the odds available, the 32-year-old is a standout selection this weekend.
