While the Eastern Conference finals between the Panthers and Hurricanes is nearing its conclusion, it could be argued that the Western Conference finals between the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars could yet swing in either direction.
A fascinating game four between the teams is set for Rogers Place on Tuesday evening, and a win for the Oilers could see them move 3-1 clear in the series ahead of its return to Dallas later this week.

Oilers vs. Stars Game 3 Recap
A fascinating Western Conference finals could yet swing in either direction, but the early advantage after three games rests with the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers are bidding to avenge their Stanley Cup finals defeat at the hands of the Panthers last season, and a repeat showdown could be just two games away from being confirmed.
Edmonton have recovered excellently since a heavy loss in Dallas in game one, and they have recorded back-to-back wins against the Stars in games two and three.
They were able to drag themselves into the series lead on home ice on Sunday evening after claiming a dominant 6-1 success. The Oilers always looked in charge at Rogers Place over the weekend, netting twice in the opening period, and adding three further efforts in the final period.
Connor McDavid was once again the man for the big occasion, netting twice. Meanwhile, Zach Hyman also scored two goals. Evander Kane and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins both ended the evening with three assists apiece.
Oilers vs. Stars Game 4 Pick
If you overlook a dominant third period in the opening game, then the Stars have offered very little against the Oilers in this series.
Edmonton holds the historic and recent advantage over their opponents, and that could yet be an important factor as they bid to go within one win of securing their place in the Stanley Cup finals for the second straight year.
With home ice advantage, we struggle to overlook another routine evening for the Oilers on Tuesday.
